dayday is a New York-based multidisciplinary creative focused on moving and still imagery. Originally from Long Beach, CA, their work draws from their Black and queer identity, expressing themes through minimalist aesthetics. With a background in design and commercial filmmaking, DAY explores the intersection of art and commerce while weaving stories of memory, nostalgia, and shared experiences.

In collaboration with writer/designer Jessica Helfand and director Lake Buckley, DayDay co-directed a visually rich trailer for Face: A Visual Odyssey. The piece explores the human face as both subject and symbol—analyzing form, identity, and expression through layered, cinematic portraiture.

DayDay crafted a clean, fold-driven title system for The Weekly, mirroring the NYT’s no-frills editorial tone. Minimal, modern, and built on truth—just like the journalism it supports.
